Sign: Former Brentwood H.S. Student Charged For Ruthlessly Beating Cat

Published: March 29, 2024 at 12:53 AM Author: PENNY EIMS

Suffolk County, N.Y. – An innocent cat, beloved in her community and trusting of people, was brutally beaten with a metal bar by a former Brentwood High School student who laughed as the malicious attack took place at the high school, in front of his friends.

The appalling act of cruelty was recorded by the 17-year-old teen and his friends and posted to social media. In the video, the teen can be seen striking the cat with a metal bar…and the injured cat’s pitiful cries of pain can be heard as she tries to make sense of the senseless cruelty she has been subjected to.

A release from the Suffolk County SPCA describes the despicable incident:

The male can be seen beating a black cat who was yelping after being struck with the metal bar for no apparent cause, and resulted in severe traumatic injuries to the cat.

Following an investigation, the teenager was arrested and charged on March 3 for the September 2023 incident. For reasons unknown, the authorities have not released the suspect’s name – but they know who he is and when Animal Victory sends in the petition, they will be able to use it for the case against him.

Information

The Suffolk County SPCA is seeking information about the other people who were present during this appalling attack, and they are hoping to get information about who they are:

Any member of the public, after seeing this video, who has any additional information relevant to this disturbing incident against a defenseless animal, by this individual or his friends, is urged to contact the Suffolk County SPCA detectives at 631 382-7722.

Please add your name to this petition and help Animal Victory fight for justice for this innocent cat. This attack was sadistic and the teen responsible must face punishment to the fullest extent of the law.

Shortened video of the vicious attack – warning, it is difficult to watch.

Note: It has been reported that someone found the injured cat after she was beaten. Though the cat was taken to a veterinarian for care, she apparently could not be saved from the severe injuries.

We the undersigned demand that the teenager responsible for brutally beating an innocent cat with a metal bar face the maximum sentence for all associated charges. This petition acts as our collective endorsement for this person to be punished to the fullest extent of the law for causing immeasurable pain and suffering to the cat who ultimately died from her injuries.

Individuals are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law. Animal Victory relies upon the authorities and the court system to determine guilt or innocence.
